Bob McAdoo, who lived in Ramsey during the 1960s, '70s and '80s, turns 65 Sunday.
McAdoo, a professional basketball player, was born Sept. 25, 1951.
A first-team All-American at North Carolina, McAdoo went on to play 14 seasons in the NBA beginning with the Buffalo Braves in 1972.
The 6-foot-9-inch McAdoo also spent time with the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons, as well as with the New Jersey Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers.
The power forward led the NBA in several different single-season categories throughout his career, including field goals and field goal percentage, rebounds and minutes played, to name a few.
